Nate is basically the man. You know why? Because this dude has fun 100% of his life, that's why. Let me tell you a story about when I met Nate.
I just got done at the ASR tradeshow and I was just wandering around outside in a daze. The tradeshow is cool for the first few hours but 2-3 days is WAY too much time to be in one place with so many "cool guys".
So anyway, I walked outside and who was sitting on the stoop? Nate M'Fin Sherwood. He was just chillin by himself. I went up , shook, pounded his hand and introduced myself. We shot the shit for a few minutes, talked about pressure flips and the kooks inside the show that were there to get laid and not to support skateboarding.
We talked for a good 20 minutes and by that time I needed to head back to Encinitas from San Diego because I was going to make dinner that night for my roomates. We bbq'd steaks! It was awesome.
I drove Nate the whole way home and we stopped and skated a ditch, got a ticket and laughed basically the whole way. Nate is one funny dude.
Nate is a spaz, in the good way and has WAY too much energy but that's what makes him Nate. That's what makes him different from the other robots in skateboarding. He does his own thing 100% of the time and he has a blast being himself. Nate also likes to buy beer and french fries with bags of coins.
He's a very kind and very generous person. He'll give you the shirt off his back if you need it more than him. I can't say enough kind words about Nate.
